My visit to Pixar Animation Studios

If there is an animation studio that I always dream about every time I watch their movies that would be Pixar. A while back I had the chance to visit their studios, located outside San Francisco, and I finally accomplished one of my dreams. How many times had I seen that hall on documentaries from their films on DVD?

Thanks to a common friend, I met Carolina López Dau, a Spanish animator working there, who gave to my wife and me a fantastic tour around there. We entered The Steve Jobs Building, the main part of the studios, and we walked around some of the spots where they made their fantastic movies. It’s such a shame pictures weren’t allowed on that particular place, but if you have seen any of their Making ofs, you’ll know how those guys at Pixar decorate their work place: simply amazing.

On top of that, we visited an incredible expo about their last film, Inside Out, and we went crazy for the illustrations, models and the tons of graphic material we saw there. And if we hadn’t had enough, after visiting the souvenir shop they had right there, we had the chance to watch the film at their studio movie theater!

Thanks again to Carolina for making this possible and for being so kind to us :)
